1 Information about us

We, Dar Ceramica Centre a trading house based in Tanzania offering the finest building solutions for our clients in East and Central Africa since 1995. We lead the industry in supplying tiles, sanitary ware and fittings that we import from the global top manufacturers and suppliers in Europe and China.


2 How the contract is formed between you and us

2.1 After placing an order, you will receive an online notification from us acknowledging that we have received your order. Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy a Product. All orders are subject to acceptance by us. The contract between us (Contract) will only be formed when you receive the Products (as applicable).

2.2 In the case of Products, the Contract will relate only to those Products which you receive. A contract for any other Products which may have been part of your order will be formed when you receive those other Products.

2.3 In the case of Services, these will be governed by the relevant terms and conditions applicable to the particular service, which will be available on the site to which your service relates – please check these terms and conditions before proceeding with your order.


3 Description of Products/Good

3.1 All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our website are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods.

3.2 All specifications in this website given to the customer are approximate and intended to serve as a guide only.

3.3 Picture/image and descriptions of the products used on our website may change anytime without notice.

3.4 We always endeavour to ensure all product descriptions are correct, but we advise customers to seek technical advice from qualified sources prior to ordering products and any work to be carried out.


4 Samples Ordering Procedure

4.1 You can request most of our tiles in quantities of 1PC through our email as a sample to give you an opportunity to see the tile before you buy.

4.2 We also offer the ability to order up to 3 free cut samples from a selected range of tiles but different designs.

4.3 Any duplicated sample orders believed to be for the same person/address will not be dispatched.


5 Order Reservation

5.1 We, accept reservations, our customers will reserve the order after confirmation for the duration of 24 hours.


6 Checks Prior to Fittings

6.1 We advise you to buy tiles, sanitary ware and sanitary fitting from the same range as the tiles may be sourced from different suppliers which may result in a slight variation in size/color.

6.2 Please check your tiles carefully before fixing them. Shade variation is a design feature of most of our tiles. If for any reason you are not happy with the shade of your tiles, we cannot accept the responsibility after the tiles have been fixed.

6.3 Fixing the tiles to a substrate means that you have accepted the tiles in their present state so no refunds or replacements will be offered. Please ensure you are happy with the shade of your tiles before starting any project.


7 Your status

7.1 By placing an order through our site, you warrant that:

  • you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts;
  • you are at least 18 years


8 Delivery of Products

6.1 After payment, we will dispatch the ordered goods to you and it is at that moment that a contract for sale is made between you and us.

6.2 All our contracts are concluded in English although contracts for sale will neither be filed by us nor accessible to you.

6.3 You must make all arrangements necessary to take delivery of products in due time. You are responsible to arrange transportation of the goods from our center for not more than 20 days.

6.4 In the case of Products, your order will be fulfilled/made ready for receipt (as applicable) within a reasonable time of the date indicated at the time of ordering, unless there are exceptional circumstances.


9 Damaged/Incorrect Goods

9.1 All goods must be checked by the customer on receipt of goods – this is imperative. No responsibility for damaged products, shortages or incorrect products can be accepted immediately upon delivery and inspection by a customer of receipt of goods.


10 Price

10.1 The price of the Products will be as quoted on our site from time to time, changes in price may occur without notice.

10.2 Product prices are liable to change at any time, without notice, but changes will not affect paid orders (for Products which you then take steps to fulfill/receive within a reasonable time of such

10.3 The price tagged in our products applies to customers based in Dar es Salaam region. We advise our customers outside the region to adhere to prices within your area. Kindly visit the nearest center for more information.


11 Payments

11.1 We, accept the following payment methods which are basically available on our website; Mobile Money (M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, AirtelMoney, HaloPesa, and T-Pesa e.t.c), Visa, MasterCard and Bank transfer; kindly use online payment link to complete your payments.

11.2 With the submission of the order, you provide your credit card details. After your identification as a legal cardholder, the payment transaction is automatically carried out and charged to your card.

11.3 We, in any case not accepting Cash payments. Any payment of goods through our website will be made available after successful payment by any of the available online payment methods. 


12 How we use your information

12.1 Dar Ceramica Centre is committed to protecting your privacy and fulfilling its obligations under Tanzania Laws.

12.2 Dar Ceramica Centre will use your personal information in order to inform you of its offers, news and new catalog and for profiling your purchasing preferences and other marketing purposes.

12.3 We may disclose your information to our service providers and agents for these purposes. We may keep your information for a reasonable period to contact you about our services in the future.

12.4 Dar Ceramica Centre may share your information with other companies and organizations who are our business partners.

12.5 They or we may contact you by mail, phone call or SMS to let you know about any goods, services or promotions, which may be of interest to you. By agreeing and accepting these terms and conditions you hereby agree and accept the terms of our Privacy Policy.


8 Our right to vary these terms and conditions

8.1 We have the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time.

8.2 You will be subject to the terms and conditions in force at the time that you order Products and/or Services from us unless any change to these terms and conditions is required to be made by law or governmental authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you).


9 Written communications

9.1 Applicable laws require that some of the information or communications we send to you should be in writing. When using our site, you accept that communication by us to you will be electronic. We will contact you by email or provide you with information by posting notices on our site.

9.2 For contractual purposes you agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all contracts, notices, information and other communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.


10 Notices

10.2 We will send notices to you by email to the email address that you supplied at the time of signing up to our site.

10.3 Either of us can change the address for notices by telling the other in writing the new address, but theprevious address will continue to remain valid for 7 days after the change is

10.4 If sent to the correct address, a notice will be treated as received 3 working days after sending a letter or 24 hours if sent by email even if it is not actually received.


11 Third party rights

11.1 A person who is not party to these terms and conditions or a Contract shall not have any rights under or inconnection with them.


12 Force majeure

12.1 We reserve the right to defer the date of delivery or to cancel a Contract for all circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to any strike, lockout, disorder, fire, explosion, accident or stoppage of or affecting our business or work and which prevents or hinders the issue of the Goods or the performance of the Services.


13 Law and jurisdiction

13. These terms and conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be governed by Tanzanian law. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions or their formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.


14 Rights (Ownership/Copyright)

14. All rights, including copyright, in this website are owned by or licensed to us. Any use of this website or its contents, including copying or storing it or them in whole or part, other than for your own personal, non-commercial use is prohibited without our permission. You may not modify, distribute or re-post something on this website for any purpose.
